A response to Bill Moore’s (PPM Atlantic Renewable) disregard for resident’s concerns

At the April 23rd Public Information Meeting, numerous concerns about the dangers and downsides of wind power were raised by the SPC and the residents of Springwater. Most of these concerns were simply brushed off by Mr. Moore from statements such as “simply not true”, “not an issue”, “no data to support that claim” to “lies”.

Well let’s take a look at some of the issues of wind turbines that Mr. Moore wants us to believe that these “are simply not a problem”.

There is no data to support loss of property values…

Bird kills are only 2-3 per turbine per year…biologically insignificant

The noise is low, and almost quiet…

Health hazards are not an issue
