Response
to PPM’s Valley News Ad Not only did PPM publish a warm fuzzy soft-peddled ad in Tuesday's Valley News, but some bold-face lies and drivel were also published, exhibiting to the developer what they are most likely counting on, that there is at least a small population of ignorant hillbillies (self-professed, mind you) here in the country that will buy just about anything. The rest of us need to stick to the facts and trust in the discernment of rational citizens against a polished sales pitch smoke screening huge drawbacks with the "Green Power" mantra, and the closed-minded ramblings of imbeciles employing scare tactics and deception to further their cause. How people can stand up for their friends or long-time acquaintances when they step on other's toes, even put others in danger for personal profit is beyond me. I was reared with the values of consideration and common courtesy and am hopeful that future generations benefit from such programs as "Character Counts" now being implemented in Wayland-Cohocton Schools, teaching values perhaps no longer taught in all homes. Today's local rag makes one thing clear; all you need is money and a crayon to get your views into print. See you all at the meeting! Sancho Panza
